Our furniture/eclectic business has been in the family for 20 years. It started in Bangalow as a corner shop called Bellitas. Business was good and so 2 years on the family opened a second larger shop called Country House Antiques just down the hill. As the kids grew up and moved on, the family home in Newrybar became empty, so Paul decided to convert the house into a shop.

11 years ago Paul and his daughter Georgia set up a new partnership and moved the business from Bangalow to Newrybar, where we traded from the old farmhouse known as Country House Antiques for 10 years.

We are now next door in the historical butchers shop and as it is the family houses’ old shed, we have changed the name of our business to THE SHED.

We sell an array of quality home wares, hardware and a large range of antique furniture, but our specialty is custom making pieces for peoples homes or shop fittings. Our collection of old wood is very broad, from small timber for making custom mirrors to large rustic timber for making island bench tops or counters.

We have never advertised, but have relied on word of mouth and return customers, and the quality of the service we provide is the foundation for our success.

We are located in Newrybar, a village in northern NSW only 15 minutes from Byron Bay and 20 minutes from Ballina airport.

Newrybar is known for its historical bakery and some great shops, The Shed, Harvest, Harvest Deli, General store, Newrybar Produce, Newrybar Merchants, Drift lab and Art House.

It is a great place to spend a day wandering though the beautiful shops and enjoying the feel of an old village, then having a lovely lunch or dinner.
